Interns have the opportunity to learn the many different facets of magazine publishing, including production, sales, marketing, public relations, event and database development, accounting, and business planning. They assist in creating and executing communications and marketing strategies, researching and coordinating mailings, arranging PR activities, updating website listings, and coordinating special events.
Internships are open to college sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as well as graduate students. The time commitment for the internship is approximately fifteen hours a week, which must be completed during the office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Internships are available during summer, fall, and winter/spring semesters.
