Niki Papadopoulos was Mark Williams’s intern in 2004; now, she’s his business partner. Together, they believe that “good design can be executed in any style—whatever style the homeowner brings to table,” says Williams of their philosophy.

“We pride ourselves on the fact that we’re malleable,” he says. “How do we help our clients get to where they need to be, regardless of our personal tastes?” They took on the foyer of the first floor and the entire second floor of 715 Ralph McGill Boulevard, and really let the architecture inform the interior design.

“The rooms are unconventional in their shape and size,” says Williams, “so the design was largely driven by volumes of space.” The main feature in the foyer, for example, is a floating stairway. “It’s very clean, crisp, modern and sculptural, and we didn’t want to do too much to take away from it,” says Papadopoulos. A bold piece of artwork was all the space needed. “Combined with that glass staircase, it makes an extraordinary statement.”
