About Grady Health System
Grady Health System is the region’s only Level I Trauma Center and is the first hospital in the Southeast to provide 24/7 stroke care. It is also an internationally recognized teaching hospital, staffed exclusively by doctors from Emory and Morehouse schools of medicine. In fact, one out of four doctors practicing in Georgia trained at Grady. With a nationally acclaimed Burn Center, a comprehensive Sickle Cell Center, the first Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence, a Diabetes Center, a dedicated 60-Plus service for older adults, eight neighborhood health centers and much more, Grady offers a full range of specialized and primary care medical services for the community. Grady is also home to Georgia’s only Poison Control Center.
Grady’s Regional Perinatal Center is the largest in the state of Georgia and the region’s designated referral center for women experiencing high-risk pregnancy, as well as premature and high-risk babies. In addition, Grady offers CenteringPregnancy®, a unique approach to prenatal care that allows women to receive check-ups, learn about pregnancy, childbirth and parenting, and support other expectant mothers in an intimate group setting.
