Hyland was just 29 when she was named CFO of what then was Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Center. She helped oversee that hospital’s 1998 merger with Egleston to form Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and, in 2008, became president and CEO of the combined system. In just the past year under Hyland’s leadership, Children’s was recognized for the 10th year in a row on the Fortune 100 list of the best companies to work for and completed its 300th heart transplant and 600th kidney transplant.

Beyond healthcare Hyland has served on the boards of the Metro Atlanta Chamber and Cousins Properties.
