Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints
When: December 7
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Cost:  $77-$500+
Details: The heated NFL rivalry between the Dirty Birds and the Who Dat Nation takes over Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the first time. The Saints currently lead the NFC South, with the Falcons in third behind the Panthers, but anything could happen during this annual Atlanta showdown.

A Christmas Carol

Where: Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre
Cost:  $14-$75
Details: Is it really the holidays if you don’t go to see Ebenezer Scrooge confront the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future? The Alliance Theatre will be performing the Dickens Christmas classic throughout this month.

Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker
When: December 8-28
Where: Fox Theatre
Cost:  $30-$130
Details: If you love the Atlanta Ballet’s current performance of the Nutcracker, this year is your last chance to see it. The Ballet will unveil new choreography to pair with Tchaikovsky’s legendary score in 2018.

Jingle Bell Run
When: December 9
Where: Grant Park (Zoo Atlanta)
Cost: Free, but each participant is encouraged to donate $150 in fundraising
Details: Don’t hibernate this winter—plenty of Atlanta holiday traditions can help stay fit as well. Proceeds from this festive 5k run and fundraising effort go toward the Arthritis Foundation. (Online registration has closed, but you can still register on-site the day of the race.)

When: December 12, 7 p.m.
Where: Philips Arena
Cost: $50-$700
Details: The “Swish Swish” singer comes to Philips to promote her latest album, Witness. Canadian electronic duo Purity Ring is the opening act.
