The best place to celebrate a Masters win? Waffle House.

In the 1996 sports rom-com “Tin Cup,” driving range pro Roy McAvoy (played by Kevin Costner) celebrates an unlikely successful third round of the U.S. Open at a Waffle House. “I’m a Waffle House guy,” McAvoy says. “Gotta stay in touch with that.”

Last year, perhaps imitating art, PGA bad boy Bubba Watson hit the WaHo to cap his second Masters championship over a mess of hash browns (covered). The University of Georgia alum is known for his of-the-people proclivities, which include purchasing both the “General Lee” souped-up Dodge Charger from “The Dukes of Hazzard” and a stake in the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Double-A baseball team. Celebrating at Waffle House, Watson spread the love by leaving a $148 tip.

We don’t yet know who will take home the green jacket in this month’s tournament. But we’re pretty sure we know whom Augusta-area WaHo employees will be rooting for.
