About Tony Conway and A Legendary Event


Atlanta caterer Tony Conway, CMP, has built an international reputation in the catering and special events industry. His well-honed event intuition is a product of over a decade of experience with The Ritz Carlton and Marriott and Stouffer Hotels. He parlayed his expertise and enthusiasm into the creation of his own Atlanta catering company, A Legendary Event, in 1997.

Since its inception, Conway's Atlanta catering company has received rave client reviews, has been solicited by top companies, and has been listed among the "approved list of Atlanta caterers" at some of the most distinguished Atlanta event venues including the Georgia Freight Depot, The Fernbank Museum, The Atlanta Botanical Garden, and the Atlanta Civic Center's King Tut Exhibit Space.

In 2006, Atlanta Catering Company A Legendary Event purchased two businesses: Mind's Eye, Inc., an event design company, and Event Café, a floral design business, to enhance the Atlanta caterer's capabilities. After two years of acquiring the businesses, on the design side alone, A Legendary Event annually designs about 150 events a year. The floral department is even busier, creating custom designs for more than 400 events including weddings, studio openings, social functions, and galas.

Atlanta Catering Company A Legendary Event has gained the confidence and recommendations from the chairs of the city's most prestigious charity balls, fundraising events, and social events. Equally important, A Legendary Event has gained a growing following from Atlanta's ever-evolving business community. In fact, The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with Atlanta Business Chronicle, recognized Atlanta Caterer Tony Conway as the 2008 Small Business Person of the Year.

A Commitment to Community

A Legendary Event is committed to giving back to the community in countless ways - from gift certificate donations for auctions to providing event design and catering to volunteerism.

As owner and president of A Legendary Event, Tony Conway exemplifies the company's commitment. Tony currently sits on the boards of the following organizations: Atlanta Community Food Bank, Senior Citizens Services, Central Atlanta Progress, Alliance Theatre, Grady Memorial Hospital, UNICEF, and the Georgia Restaurant Association.

Tony has also chaired DIFFA's "Dining by Design," the American Cancer Society's "Cattle Baron's Ball," UNICEF's "Designs of Hope," Senior Citizens Services' "A Meal to Remember," Meals on Wheels and PALS' (Pets Are Loving Support) "Rubbing Noses."

Over the past ten years, A Legendary Event has donated more than $7 million in services and contributions to a staggering array of organizations. Due to the overwhelming requests for donations, A Legendary Event now only provides contributions to events and organizations that the company is catering.
