If you were on social media last night, you were likely bombarded with dazzling red carpet photos from the annual Met Gala, aka “fashion’s biggest night out.” The annual fundraiser for the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute draws actors, musicians, models, fashion designers, and athletes, all sporting their most extravagant (the dress code specifically called for “avant-garde”) designer outfits. Serena Williams made headlines for sporting her baby bump in green Versace, Rihanna wore a Comme des Garçons outfit that resembled origami, and Katy Perry . . . well, you just have to look at the photos.
