Melanie Mueller Prince launched her luxury handbag company in Atlanta nearly six years ago, but she got a hefty boost recently when Glee actress Lea Michele Instagrammed a photo of her new Mel Boteri tassel key chain. The fringed tchotchkes are an easy (and at $150, relatively affordable) way to add flair to any bag—or you can spring for one from Prince’s line. The latest styles include elegant structured leather totes and petite python clutches, all crafted in Italy or Portugal. Shoppers can also customize bags by appointment, choosing from dozens of leathers and types of hardware, adding a monogram, and even helping to create a made-to-order silhouette. Prince, an Atlanta native and alum of UGA and Emory’s Goizueta Business School, also recently released the Hope Bag, in light blue and taupe pebbled leather, to benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
