Judeen, Judelle, and Belva make up the Chalks, the fictional singing sister act in Holidays with the Chalks, a Southern-tinged, honky-tonkin’ musical presented on the Alliance Theatre’s Hertz Stage. Mary Brienza and Kathryn Markey hatched the idea for a pair of hapless country-western singers in the early 1990s, and they’ve since added third “sister” Leenya Rideout.
