This one-woman show by poetry slam artist Gypsee Yo (born Jonida Beqo) at the Balzer Theater at Herren’s is described as a “series of poetic snapshots” that depict the passage from her native conflict-ridden Albania to the Southeastern U.S. Beqo, a former Southern Queen of Slam winner, portrays a coming-of-age story and also captures the tumultuous immigrant experience.
