Of 200 biggest U.S. cities, Atlanta is the 15th least safe to drive in, says Allstate

Just before Labor Day weekend, Allstate insurance released its annual report of America's Best Drivers. In a result that should surprise exactly zero Atlantans, our city ranked 186 out of the top 200 most populated U.S. cities.

How to work out in your car

Atlantans spend a lot of time in cars—30.1 minutes each time we drive to work. That’s more than any other major city except New York, D.C., and Chicago. When you can’t move, use the delay to exercise. Georgia drivers aren’t the worst

Well, at least we didn't make the top ten. According to CarInsuranceComparison.com, Georgia drivers are only the fourteenth worst in the country. The worst drivers are nearby in Louisiana.

Wreckage

Pleasant Drive, less than a mile of curb-lined asphalt cut into the residential hills just west of Douglasville, is aptly named. The tiny inlet branches west off the highway, jogging down a decline into a right-hand turn that levels off to a quiet straightaway.
