Rubbernecking celebrity hounds may soon require neck braces as the star wattage grows brighter  here in the Hollywood of the South.

Already we have Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd shooting “Wanderlust” in town while Julianne Hough and newcomer Kenny Wormald remake “Footloose” in Covington.

Today comes word that “Wedding Crashers” director David Dobkins is headed this way to shoot his new comedy, “The Change Up,” starring Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds. The comedy is written by “The Hangover” co-conspirators Jon Lucas and Scott Moore.

We’re told that the film centers on two best friends who “accidentally swap bodies to get a glimpse at what the other missed and gain an appreciation of what he had.”

Bateman plays a lawyer and Reynolds is his slacker pal.

“House” actress Olivia Wilde will be MIA on the hit Fox series later this fall since she’s just been signed to play the love interest in the flick.

We hear that fans can expect “Change Up”-related star sightings from mid-October through the beginning of 2011.

Also in town shooting this month: Lifetime’s new four-hour romantic comedy mini series “Marry Me” starring Lucy Liu  as singleton Rae Ann Carter who has the hard luck of picking between Steven Pasquale (“Rescue Me”), Bobby Cannavale (“Will & Grace”), and Enrique Murciano (“Without a Trace”) who all want to put a ring on it.

Did we mention that this is a Lifetime production?

We’re told that the mini series was shooting at a downtown loft Monday and continues to film here through early October.
