Texting in Braille

Visually impaired but longing to text? There’s an app for that. Georgia Tech researchers developed BrailleTouch, which lets people use a six-key Braille typing system on touchscreens. The app has helped users type more than thirty words per minute faster than other systems, says Mario Romero in Tech’s School of Interactive Computing.
