Can’t you just feel Simon Cowell in the air? Well, it’s a hot one today, dawg pound, (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.), because pre-registration began at 7 a.m. this morning for Thursday’s American Idol tryouts at the Georgia Dome and will continue at 7 tomorrow morning as well. Auditions for the Fox juggernaut’s ninth season will begin at 8 a.m. on the 18th, though participants are encouraged to arrive by 5 a.m.
I’m guessing there will be a lot of Atlantans calling into work sick for the next few days. But remember, there’s no room for Susan Boyles here: Only those ages fifteen to twenty-eight can participate.
Are you trying out for Idol? If so, how was your experience? What would you sing if you were to try out? My specialty is “Part of Your World” by Ariel, the Little Mermaid. No, seriously. It’s fantastic.
