Serving the needs of Atlantans since 1995, Atlanta Breast Care is a full-service, breast-only practice located at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Dr. William Barber, a perennial Top Doctor over his 30-plus-year career, founded the practice and established an unparalleled legacy of clinical excellence and customer service.
Dr. Erin Bowman joined Dr. Barber in 2013, followed by Dr. Albert Diehl in 2018. Both Drs. Bowman and Diehl completed breast oncology fellowships at Emory and have consistently been named Atlanta magazine Top Doctors over their multi-year careers. Together, they care for more than 500 new breast cancer patients annually. While Dr. Barber no longer sees new patients, his legacy is carried on by Drs. Bowman and Diehl, who continue to grow the practice.
In 2023, Atlanta Breast Care welcomed a new physician, Dr. Micaela Moen. Also fellowship trained, Dr. Moen brings to the practice a compassionate bedside manner and surgical skills that carry on the practice’s tradition of excellence.
Our physicians are supported by a team of advanced practice providers who are available to address our patients’ breast care needs, whether benign or malignant. The practice offers in-office ultrasound and biopsies, as well as screening for dense breast tissue. We can also assess lifetime risk of breast cancer and facilitate enhanced screening for those that are eligible.
Our providers work with an interdisciplinary team, including the region’s finest plastic surgeons and oncologists, to offer the latest in cancer care. Our surgeons have privileges at both Piedmont Atlanta and Northside Hospital.
