From contributing writer Kenneth R. Wilson:
Metro Atlanta native Nate Novarro and members of the band Cobra Starship will perform on the Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien tomorrow night, Tuesday August 11. The band’s new album, Hot Mess, will go on sale the same day. The first single, “Good Girls Go Bad,” features actress Leighton Meester (“Blair” from CW’s Gossip Girl) and currently sits in the number ten position on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
Hot Mess is the third album for synth-heavy pop punk band since their inception in 2006. Their first single, “Bring It,” was featured during the closing credits of the cult film Snakes on a Plane earlier that same year.
Novarro plays drums for Cobra Starship and graduated from East Coweta High School in 2004. He will join band members Gabe Saporta, Ryland Blackinton, Alex Suarez, and Victoria Asher in Atlanta on August 19 for a sold-out show at Vinyl in Midtown.
