Floataway Cafe

1004

Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison’s farm-to-table pioneer might not seem an obvious place to discover inexpensive vino: Its bottle selection over the years, while often affordable, has vacillated between intriguingly obscure and boringly accessible. But a recent visit found Floataway’s wine program on a get-you-some upswing, with a mix of nearly 100 bottles priced to sell—including almost two dozen options at $30 or less.

Drink This: 2009 Brancaia Tre, a smooth Super Tuscan (Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot) that flatters the excellent pizzas and pastas: $31.
