On Tuesday, WAGA-TV “Good Day Atlanta” co-host Suchita Vadlamani‘s Facebook page continued to blow up with well wishes from fans after she posted news of her departure from the popular Atlanta morning show.

On Monday night, Vadlamani posted the following message to friends: “It’s official! After a memorable eight and a half years at ‘Good Day,’ it’s time for another big adventure. Takin’ it to the next level!”
Vadlamani’s departure had been rumored for weeks but with holiday vacation time affecting most local and national TV morning shows, it wasn’t immediately clear if Vadlamani was still on board at “GDA” or not.

After Vadlamani broke the news, her Facebook fans immediately began posting heartfelt messages to the much-liked Atlanta TV personality and social scenester. Wrote Wendy Barton Benson on Tuesday morning: “‘Good Day Atlanta’ without Suchita Vadlamani is like a homemade biscuit without the honey.” Echoed fan Jason Greene: “‘Good Day Atlanta’ is not good anymore. Love you baby!”

Added friend and CNN anchor Holly Firfer: “Life is about to hit the Universe in a big way for you!” while longtime Atlanta PR maven Toren Anderson added: “You will be missed. Nothing like bringing in a client for an interview with someone prepared, excited and into whatever they represented. Wishing you the best ever!”

It was not immediately known what Vadlamani’s post-“GDA” plans were.
