Imagine a room filled with hundreds of determined, passionate women of all ages, representing the heart of Atlanta. Each woman is committed to making a real impact. This is Impact100 Atlanta—a collective giving powerhouse that, in just three years, has awarded almost $750,000 in grants to local nonprofits addressing some of our community’s most pressing issues.

The Impact100 Model

Impact100 Atlanta’s mission is simple yet powerful: at least 100 women come together, each contributing $1,000 to fund transformative grants for nonprofits throughout Metro Atlanta. Every dollar of each donation goes directly to these grants. Impact100’s model was founded in 2001 by Wendy H. Steele, USA TODAY’s 2024 Woman of the Year, on the belief that women can create a greater impact by pooling resources to support nonprofit organizations addressing urgent community needs.

See how we bring our mission to life.

In 2024, 330 Atlanta women across 47 zip codes raised $330,000 to award three high-impact grants across Impact100 Atlanta’s five focus areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Preservation & Recreation, Family, and Health & Wellness. These 2024 grants were awarded to:

  • Empty Stocking Fund: “ESF Education Express: Delivering Free School Supplies, Hygiene Items, and Healthy Snacks to Underserved Students”
  • COR: “Expanding COR Services to Include Price Middle School Students and Families”
  • Second Helpings Atlanta: “Food Rescue Hubs”

At their “Annual Big Give” event on November 3, 2024, Impact100 Atlanta President Sherrhonda Roach shared an exciting vision for the future, “Our goal is five in 2025. Together, we will fund five transformative grants in 2025 growing Impact100 Atlanta to 500 members, enabling us to provide significant support across all five of our focus areas. Impact100 Atlanta needs you—Atlanta needs Impact100 Atlanta. Together, we rise.”

Empowering Women, Transforming Communities

Impact100 Atlanta launched in 2022 with 130 founding members, awarding their inaugural grant of $130,000 to The Study Hall. Since then, the chapter has grown by 160%, with over 330 women contributing their time, treasure, and passion for change. This year, Impact100 Atlanta was named a Top-Rated Nonprofit by Greatnonprofits.org, celebrating its dedication to making a difference. Part of a global network with 76+ chapters, Impact100 has unlocked over $160 million in funding for nonprofits worldwide.

Members say that through Impact100 Atlanta, they gain deeper insights into Atlanta’s needs while building friendships with a diverse and inclusive community of women. “The best thing about being an Impact100 Atlanta member is the wide variety of women I have met in this organization,” says one member. “We come from different backgrounds—we are moms, professionals, creatives—and we are brought together by a shared vision for impact.”

Another member adds, “I had been searching for a meaningful way to give back to my community. This is it. We are changing lives with every grant – children receiving vital services and families finding hope and dignity. There are so many ways to get involved and the flexibility allows women to make a difference when they can, based on their season of life.”

How to Get Involved

Impact100 Atlanta offers multiple ways to engage and make an impact. Members can participate in leadership opportunities, seasonal volunteer initiatives, grant reviews, and may even have the opportunity to serve on the board. A referral to join isn’t necessary, and contributions can be made in installments. Scholarships are also available.

Impact100 Atlanta’s goal is clear: growing to 500 members by 2025 to fund five transformative grants. If you believe in the power of collective giving, Impact100 Atlanta invites you to join this inspiring network of women dedicated to creating positive change in Atlanta.
