Dr. Purnima Patel is a board-certified ophthalmologist and founder of ORA Vision. With more than a decade of experience, she previously served as an associate professor of ophthalmology at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Patel is deeply committed to serving her community, currently acting as the president of the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology. She is a nationally recognized expert in her field, invited to deliver lectureships worldwide. Elected by her peers, Dr. Patel serves on the Board of Trustees for the prestigious American Academy of Ophthalmology and Women in Ophthalmology. She will serve as president for Women in Ophthalmology in 2025.
With her extensive experience as a cataract surgeon and as a fellowship-trained medical retina and uveitis specialist, Dr. Patel provides a distinctive skill set encompassing both retina care and premium cataract surgery, a rare combination locally. She stands out as one of the few uveitis specialists in Georgia.
