Piedmont Brain Tumor Center treats patients with primary and metastatic tumors of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerve. We provide surgical approaches for brain tumors, including Gamma Knife radiosurgery, brachytherapy, and minimally invasive endoscopic and fluorescence-guided surgery. Additionally, minimally invasive approaches such as laser interstitial thermotherapy (LITT), convection-enhanced delivery, and immunotherapy and gene therapy are offered. Our board-certified and fellowship-trained neurosurgeons include Tyler Kenning, MD (skull base surgery—Thomas Jefferson); David Jay McCracken, MD (neurosurgical oncology—Emory); and Andrew Sloan, MD (neurosurgical oncology—MD Anderson).
Piedmont Physicians neuro-oncologists Erin Dunbar, MD, (John Hopkins) and Aaron Mammoser, MD, (MD Anderson) are fellowship-trained medical and neuro-oncologists specializing in multidisciplinary medical and palliative care treatment options for patients, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and tumor treating fields, as well as pain and symptom management and identification of genetic syndromes. The comprehensive and multidisciplinary nature of Piedmont Brain Tumor Center allows us to identify the exact vulnerabilities of the tumor, and optimize the safest and most effective treatment(s) for every patient.
