Rekindle the Holiday Spirit

The days are growing shorter and the nights settle in with an ever-sharpening chill, which can only mean that, once again, the most wonderful time of the year has arrived. And Atlantic Station, with holiday happenings and photo-worthy decorations all season long, is the perfect place for you and your family to find countless reasons to rejoice. From November ‘til the New Year, our neighborhood’s halls will be decked in wonderfully wintry decor, and our festivities and events will set hearts aglow. All season long and for all people, our holiday festival, Celebration at the Station, is just what you need to rekindle that holiday spirit.

We’re starting things off literally on the right foot with our beloved annual ice-skating rink, Skate the Station. Open to all ages and skill levels, this Atlanta tradition goes from November 15 – January 20, giving you plenty of opportunity to lace up your skates and light up the night. Upping the fun factor are a number of themed skate nights, from London Night on November 23 — wear your finest English attire and bop along to British musical classics — to Great Gatsby Night on January 14 — have a ball, old sport!

And speaking of our friends across the pond, you won’t want to miss our British Invasion-themed Parade of Lights at 6:30 pm on Saturday, November 23. It’s the first chapter of our Light the Station extravaganza, and, in addition to holiday mainstays like gingerbread houses and Santa, it will include floats featuring the Royal Guard and other iconic U.K. themes. Don your Union Jack, keep calm, and groove on!

Immediately following the parade, at approximately 7:00 pm on Atlantic Green, witness a truly marvelous holiday tree lighting hosted by Santa Claus himself. Watch in awe as he lights, for the first time this season, our 50-foot-tall holiday tree, which will set off a multimedia light show that truly must be seen to be believed.

And capping things off is Black Friday, which promises to be just like the Black Fridays you remember – minus the long lines, of course. It’s not just great deals at our wide selection of stores; it’s an all-day ringing in of December that will set the holliest, jolliest tone for the remainder of the year. As you shop, sway along to carolers regaling you with classic tunes; along the way, write a letter to the North Pole and decorate cookies; and, when you’re done, take a picture with a live reindeer. And the best part is that the first gift of the holiday may very well be from us to you: Just spend $75 or more, and you can receive an Atlantic Station-branded mug and hot cocoa mix, our treat. It’s our way of saying “hello” to the holidays, and of thanking all our amazing visitors and residents who call this place home, whether for a night or for life.

After you’ve enjoyed our array of restaurants and stores, set down the shopping bags and lace up the skates for Ugly Sweater Night, which concludes our Black Friday festivities in appropriately gauche fashion. The scratchier, tackier, and louder the sweater, the better the time.

This holiday season, you don’t have to look far and wide to fill your family’s calendar with fun and merriment. You just have to come home. Because Atlantic Station isn’t just the heart of the ATL; it’s the home for your holidays. It’s where beautiful decorations meet celebratory events meet lifelong memories. It’s where our iconic array of shopping, dining, and entertainment gets elevated even further by beloved holiday traditions. It’s where you reconnect to the heart of ATL and, at long last, rekindle your holiday spirit.
