In addition to encouraging fans to donate twice as many toys needed for a pre-concert toy drive with Q100’s Bert Weiss benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Philips Arena last week, Atlanta pop phenom Justin Bieber was spotted downtown sharing a little holiday cheer.
Before his sold-out show, Bieber was at CNN Center buying an Auburn cap from the apparel stand across from The Corner Bookstore. Naturally, the Biebs paid in cash. After departing, the woman who runs the stand noticed an extra hundred dollar bill in the handful of cash he gave her.
The clerk shouted after the singer at which point, he turned, grinned and shouted “Merry Christmas” before exiting. Recounting the tale on Facebook, Corner Bookstore manager Zachary Steele mused: “I think I officially like this kid now.”
Also on Santa’s good list this year? Atlanta Falcon Ovie Mughelli who celebrated the success of his non-profit Ovie Mughelli Foundation (the non-profit teaches kids about the environment and green lifestyle choices) at Buckhead Bottle Bar over the weekend with BBB co-owner A.D. Allushi.
Also on hand: Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan who dropped by to offer Mughelli congrats before suiting up for tonight’s big “Monday Night Football” game on ESPN against the New Orleans Saints.
