Intel spies report that “American Idol” season eight winner Kris Allen smuggled in 250 Star 94 listeners for a secret acoustic set late last week at the W hotel in Buckhead.
With the one-year anniversary of Michael Jackson‘s death looming, Allen paid tribute to the late singer, opening with “Man in the Mirror.”
Of course, the singer/songwriter/Ford Focus pitchboy also played his radio hits, including “Live Like We’re Dying” and “The Truth.”

Perhaps the oddest “celebrity” sighting at the free show?
Allen’s fellow season eight “American Idol” contestant Anoop Desai, who was spotted in the audience cheering the singer on and “singing the words to all of Allen’s songs.”
Two words: Restraining order.
