“The Change Up” cast and crew have only been in town a few weeks but they’ve already familiarized themselves with West Midtown’s hottest pizza joint.
Antico Pizza Napoletana reps tell Intel the usually standing room only hot spot has been supplying Jason Bateman, Ryan Reynolds, Olivia Wilde and co-workers filming the comedy here with pies for weeks on-set (when People cites you as “The Sexiest Man Alive 2010” and you torture your abs the way Reynolds does, you’re allowed to indulge a little. . .).
This week, on a break from filming (but still clad in their identical gray suits from the body switcheroo flick), Bateman and Reynolds popped into the Hemphill Avenue eatery to observe Giovanni Di Palma make some pies in person in the kitchen filled with authentic Italian pizza ovens and a chef’s table usually reserved for staff or friends (and famous folk, of course).
After proclaiming the pizza “amazing,” Reynolds had some of Antico’s famous cannolis wrapped up for wife Scarlett Johansson who is celebrating her 26th birthday this week.
