“If you love your work, if you enjoy it, you’re already a success,” is a quotation that resonates with Dr. Gordon, who truly loves the work she is privileged to do. “The best part of my job is really listening to patients to figure out their goals and help them get there quickly,” says Dr. Gordon, who has been in practice in the southeast metro region for more than 22 years. Her patients report her to be an excellent listener, direct and intelligent, and up to date on the latest data for evidence-based care. An Atlanta native, she graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in molecular biology and completed OB-GYN residency at Washington University in St. Louis. She was one of only 10 physicians in Georgia to become board certified in urogynecology when it was first offered in 2013. Since then, she has built a six-provider practice taking care of women’s concerns about pelvic health, pelvic pain, fibroids, prolapse, incontinence, menopause, sexual health, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Gordon performed robotic surgeries, and she is also a Menopause Society board-certified physician. She offers anxiety management and complete pain control for in-office procedures with nitrous oxide. She performs in-office surgery and operates at Piedmont Henry hospital. Dr. Gordon is a volunteer at Hands of Hope free medical clinic and serves on the Soccer in the Streets board. She owns an independent bookstore—Story on the Square—in McDonough with her husband. She relishes her time at the lake, swimming, and relaxing.
