Thanks to the fine folks at Exclusiveaccess.net and S.T.E.P.S. Event Planning, fans of Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane got a peek inside this week’s “Welcome Home” party, following the performer’s six-month stint in stir for a probation violation.
The soiree was held in the grand ballroom of the Georgian Terrace in Midtown.
In the video, the hotel’s Livingston restaurant chef Gary Mennie makes a cameo to reveal the starter course, a peekytoe crab salad garnished with crispy bread sticks and a buttermilk dressing.
What follows is the operatic “Classical Intro” opening from Mane’s 2009 album, “The State Vs. Radric Davis” featuring the lyrics “Nothing’s gonna stop my reign!!”
The operatic chanting accompanies footage of the evening’s menu, beautifully plated up in a candlelit but completely empty ballroom.
Never fear, pals including V103 morning man Frank Ski, congressional candidate Vernon Jones, Outkast‘s Big Boi and producer Jazze Pha soon showed up. Pha thoughtfully showed up wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with a handgun.
That’s spelled: C-L-A-S-S-Y, kids.
