Dr. Phillip V. Parry is a neurosurgeon who joined Wellstar in 2018. He serves as the medical director for spine and pain for the Wellstar Health System and maintains a special interest in minimally invasive neurosurgery.
Dr. William Benedict joined Wellstar in August 2010, after spending three years as an assistant professor of neurosurgery at Emory University. He has specialty training in complex spinal disease, adult spinal deformity, and spinal oncology.
Dr. Basheer Shakir is a spinal neurosurgeon at Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center in Roswell. His interests include artificial disc replacement/motion preservation surgery and minimally invasive/muscle-preservation techniques, as well as larger reconstructive or revision operations and deformity/scoliosis.
Dr. Arthur Grigorian is a Wellstar neurosurgeon who specializes in treating vascular issues of the brain and spinal cord. Inspired by physicians of the past, he was drawn to neurosurgery because it offered the perfect mix of science and surgery.
Dr. Thomas Holmes received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. He finished his training with a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with an emphasis in epilepsy at Emory University Hospital.
