A burger missed in action: Illegal Food

As this issue went to print, Illegal Food was in the process of building out its new space in Virginia-Highland, where Bar Meatball and Pozole once lived. Those who gorged on the monster-sized Hank (the double patty is 15 total ounces of beef) in the back room of Joystick Gamebar know the potential of this former pop-up. They were the best, some say. For now, we can only hope that chef/copartner Steven Lingenfelter steers clear of toying with his burgers. They never needed tinkering—just a permanent home.
