DWR was launched in 1998 to bring hard-to-find contemporary classics—by masters such as Eames, Le Corbusier, and Saarinen—within reach of the average consumer. With the Atlanta store’s recent move from an obscure location next to Burger King to a new Westside Provisions facility that is triple the size, the retailer surely delivered on its founding promise. The sparkling two-story facility, designed by New York–based architectural firm DFA, is fun to visit even if you’re not shopping. Ride the glossy red elevator upstairs, where you can check out the view of downtown’s skyline from the green roof. And don’t miss the whimsical “light cloud” of nearly 100 George Nelson pendants. dwr.com
