The Joneses director Derrick Borte knew just from looking out the window of his plane at the city’s huge subdivisions that metro Atlanta—and specifically Alpharetta—was the right place to film his biting comedy about craven consumerism.
The film stars Demi Moore and David Duchovny, pictured above with costars Ben Hollingsworth and Amber Heard.
Alpharetta neighbors helped inspire one scene in the finished film after Borte observed a new BMW model being delivered to one high-end homeowner. Via car carrier.
“It was brilliant,” Borte recalls. “It just says: ‘Look what I’ve got!’”
