Food truck and dessert catering company Heavenly Dolce is opening a brick and mortar shop in East Atlanta Village at the end of the month. Owned by self-taught pastry chef Kim Spaulding, the “dessert boutique” will serve breakfast, coffee, and sweets starting at 7 a.m.

Offerings will rotate but may include tiramisu, banana pudding, and brownie-cheesecake cups. Spaulding’s specialty, chocolate-covered strawberries stuffed with New York-style cheesecake, will always be available. Customers will also be able to purchase cake pops and liqueur-infused cupcakes, like the Ms. Peppermint Mocha—chocolate Kahlua cake with a minty Schnapps buttercream frosting.

Spaulding is partnering with a local coffee roaster to make lattes, espresso, and cappuccinos, and will serve herbal teas, too. Breakfast items may include croissants and Belgian waffles stuffed with fresh fruit, plus some savory dishes.

Located at 491 Flat Shoals Avenue, Heavenly Dolce will be small with counter service and bar seating only. Spaulding describes it as “quaint, with chandelier lighting and a black, white, and teal color scheme.”

The food truck will continue to operate in Smyrna, Alpharetta, and Duluth even after the East Atlanta shop opens.
