Oktoberfest in Atlanta: Munich on Marietta Street, dinner at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, FadOktoberfest


Oktoberfest at Wrecking Bar on Sept. 22, 12:00 p.m.
Serving food specials including Bernhard’s Bavarian Pretzels and Delia’s Chicken and Patak Bratwurst and drink specials including a small batch of Oktoberfest beer.

Munich on Marietta Street at Der Biergarten on Sept. 22 through Oct. 7
Celebrations begin with a German style block party consisting of live music, beer, and food. The festivities will conclude in early October with “Oktoberfest Olympics,” incorporating a beer belly contest and a mustache contest.

Oktoberfest at Brick Store Pub on Sept. 29, 1:00 p.m.
Tapping of ceremonial cask at 1:00 p.m. Drink and food specials throughout the day, plus tableside accordion music.

Oktoberfest at H. Harper Station on Sept. 30, 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Chef Joseph Ward will be crafting traditional German dishes including weiner schnitzel, bratwurst and spaetzle. Beer sponsor Paulaner will be serving a variety of brews including Marzan Octoberfest, Weisbier, and Pilsner. Music by Wated Potential Brass Band.

FadOktoberfest Outdoor Block Party at Fado on Oct. 6, 3:00 p.m.
Wear your German best to avoid a cover charge. A brat eating contest and a beer chugging contest are among the many activities planned throughout the day. Live music includes Astral Freaks and Desire.

Oktoberfest dinner at Atlanta Botanical Garden on Oct. 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Join Executive Chef Jordan Wakefield of Meehan’s Public House at Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen. Wakefield will be dishing up four seasonal courses, paired with Oktoberfest beer.
