When Nina & Rafi shuttered in April, the folks at Pour Taproom took it harder than most. After all, they had literally cut a hole in their space to bring pizza to Pour. Later this summer, slices and pies will become available once again with the opening of Pizza Dynamo inside Pour. The concept is the brainchild of Jeremy Gatto, a New York native and founder of Pizza Jeans, who saw an opportunity to bring something special to his adopted home of Atlanta.

“[Pour] came to me asking if I’d be interested in doing something in Florida,” he says, referencing a collaboration brewing at Pour in Jacksonville. “And I thought—why not start right here? It was such a natural partnership.”

Now, Pizza Dynamo is taking shape in the back of Pour’s Old Fourth Ward location, with a custom oven and hood being installed to bring Gatto’s New York–style pies to life. Gatto says the new brand is inspired by some of the New York’s top slice shops—L’Industrie, Scarr’s, and Mamma’s Too.

But Gatto’s biggest differentiator may be the flour. “Nobody in Georgia or Florida is using Petra Flour,” he says proudly. “It’s a blend of four Italian flours, fermented for 72 hours. The result is a crackly, chewy bite with amazing flavor.” He imports it directly from Italy, 2,000 pounds at a time.

The menu will feature 10 pizzas, alongside apps, salads, and classic garlic knots. The signature Pizza Dynamo is topped with stracciatella, prosciutto, and a drizzle of Mike’s Hot Honey. Other options will include buffalo chicken pie, Margherita, and the Arthur Avenue, named after the Bronx’s famous Italian enclave, stacked with sausage, pepperoni, and other cured meats.

Pizza Dynamo will operate separately from Pour, but the experience will feel seamless to guests. Orders can be placed via Pour’s tab or directly at the counter, and food will be delivered to the table.

The vibe, like the pizza, leans into New York nostalgia. “I’m a nostalgic person. I love ‘80s and ‘90s hip-hop, old-school arcades. When I hear the word ‘dynamo,’ I think of boomboxes, malls, and grabbing a slice before playing video games,” Gatto says.

Pour is currently open evenings and weekends, but Pizza Dynamo will expand the hours with lunch and dinner service on weekdays and full-day availability on weekends. Kids are welcome. If all goes according to plan, Pizza Dynamo will debut in August or September. “I’m one of the proudest New Yorkers you’ll ever meet,” Gatto says. “It makes me feel so good to bring something I’m truly passionate about to my second home.”
