As if Glennwood Park’s neighborhood bistro The Shed at Glenwood could get any cozier, owner Cynthia Shera is throwing the ultimate in casual Sunday brunchs this weekend. Diners are encouraged to cut the tags off their holiday sleepwear and arrive in your pajamas.
“Brunch tastes better in your pajamas!” Shera shared. “We thought of it this past Halloween and it was such a smashing success, we decided to celebrate every holiday like this. So you can eat, sip yourself silly and head right back to bed, all in the spirit of the holidays!”
Shera says she’s seen regulars turn up in everything from smoking jackets and ascots to fluffy robes and bunny slippers. And yes, regularly garbed folks will also get to enjoy the $16 brunch whipped up by The Shed’s executive chef Lance Gummere and $9 bottomless mimosas. The Shed will also be offering the comfy cozy PJs brunch on Sunday, January 2, 2011.
“Just no suits, ties or buzz kills,” Shera warns. Oh, and reservations are strongly advised via The Shed’s website.
