Buckhead’s premiere wine bar, Vine & Tap, will turn into a lobster shack for lunch starting June 21. Menu items include lobster rolls, Ipswich clam strips, fried shrimp, steamed shrimp, clam chowder, and fried calamari. “Susan and I grew up eating at seafood shacks in Massachusetts and Maryland, so we love the combination of really high-quality seafood served in such a casual environment,” said owner Ian Mendelsohn in a press release.
Mendelsohn has always shown an affinity to New England specialties and his dinner-only, Maryland-style crab cake is one of the city’s best. Wine, of course, will be available in ample supply. The lobster shack will be open 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on weekdays, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
