The 2020 Atlanta Jewish Film Festival has officially come to a close, attracting over 38,000 moviegoers across 18 days and featuring its most well-received and diverse film lineup ever. The Closing Night celebration on Thursday, February 27 brought together nearly 1,000 film lovers to the Sandy Spring Performing Arts Center for a screening of Saul & Ruby, To Life! The festival concluded with a special performance from Saul Dreier and Ruby Sosnowicz’s Holocaust Survivor’s Band as well as a delicious dessert reception.
AJFF is set to continue its 20th anniversary celebrations with year-round programming, including AJFF On Campus, Cinebash, AJFF Connects, and more. Programming begins next month as AJFF kicks off its Selects series with the biographical drama Resistance starring Jesse Eisenberg as the legendary mime Marcel Marceau. AJFF has also announced a special 20th anniversary Gala Concert in partnership with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, featuring film scores from Jewish-themed Hollywood classics. The concert will be held on the evening of Monday, October 19, 2020. Ticketing information and more details will be announced at a future date.
