On Saturday, October 13th top donors and supporters of Heifer International were hosted at the home of Dr. Larry Schall, President of Oglethorpe University and his wife Betty Londergan for an intimate champagne tasting provided by Ruinart and a three-course menu provided by Chef Piero Premoli of Pricci. Guests were greeted by Will Campbell, General Manager of Ferrari Maserati of Atlanta and while seated for dinner were treated to an enjoyable “sensory competition” through the matching of scents provided by Ruinart while they learned of the intricacies of making and crafting the perfect French champagne. CEO of Heifer International, Mr. Pierre Ferrari (no relation to the affluent auto manufacturer) was the special guest of the evening and educated guests on the work being done by his group, particularly in Haiti. Heifer International provides sustainable relief to vulnerable families in impoverished nations through an integrated crop-livestock program that leads to job creation, income generation and skills training. Heifer International will welcome Honorary Chair Ashley Judd to Atlanta in January at a private reception to raise awareness and funds for the group¹s Heifer Haiti Now project.
