It may be surprising but one of the fastest selling events in metro Atlanta is actually OTP. Over 2,500 wine enthusiasts nabbed tickets for the 2019 Roswell Wine Festival which sold out in less than an hour. Now in its 7th year, the festival is centered around picturesque Canton Street in historic Roswell and featured over 300 wines, 80 business sponsors, 20 local artists, and four bands. Up and coming singer Alex Guthrie was on the main stage of the festival and he is currently competing on NBC’s The Voice.
The Brown & Company VIP tent is a highlight of the event and features food from local favorites Table & Main and Osteria Mattone. Ultra premium and luxury wines are also featured in the tent, including Jonata Todos, which is a sister winery of the iconic Screaming Eagle brand. Atlanta’s only Master Sommelier, Michael McNeill, hosted an educational wine seminar at Vin25.
Co-founders Peggy Robinson and Dwight Cunningham have been pleased with the event’s success, citing their philanthropic intentions. “At the end of the day, we’re really excited about how the event enables us to build lasting projects for the local community. This year’s festival funded a new outdoor classroom at Roswell North Elementary which will be used for many years to come.” Past benefactors of the event have included ArtAround Roswell, CDA, Friends of Roswell Parks, Keep Roswell Beautiful, and more.
