Augusta is one of Georgia’s most classic Southern cities. Located two and a half hours east of Atlanta, it’s situated on the Savannah River and features vibrant galleries and restaurants, a lovely Riverwalk, and of course, one heck of a golf course. Triple 8 Group Run: 8/15 at 8am at the Augusta Riverwalk
- Kick off your day with an 8-mile run on 8th street at 8am. If 8 miles is a stretch for you, the Riverwalk will also host 1-mile and 3.5-mile group runs.

Augusta Market at the River: 8/15 from 8am-2pm at the Augusta Riverwalk
- Augusta artists, bakers, farmers, and more all join together every Saturday to sell plants, fresh produce, bread, jewelry, and art. A recently opened food court also gives guests a place to sit and enjoy lunch.

Swamp Saturday Guided Bike Ride: 8/15 at 9:30am at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park
- This 7-mile guided bike ride will take you through Augusta’s diverse wetland trails. Admire the large variety of plant life and keep your eyes peeled for otters and alligators. Note: Bring your own bike!

Augusta Beerfest: 8/15 from 1pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm at Bell Auditorium
- Cap your day at Augusta’s second annual beerfest, which boasts more than 100 specialty brews from across the state. Ticket holders receive a free souvenir cup and all the suds they can sample. Food trucks will also line the venue, offering snacks and meals for purchase.
