Even in the toughest economic times, Georgia Shakespeare has never sacrificed artistic credibility. But this year, the company tried a summer without Shakespeare—and it didn’t play very well. People complained. The theater listened. Though finances remain a challenge, the summer of 2014 will mark a return to form for the company, with all-new productions, including As You Like It and Richard Bean’s One Man, Two Guvnors in the summer repertoire on Oglethorpe University’s campus.
