Georgia Highlands College

As a college within the University System of Georgia, GHC offers easy transfer within the USG, one of the lowest tuition rates in the state, free tutoring, small classes, and individual attention from faculty. The college primarily confers associate’s degrees, but in the fall of 2013 began offering an online bachelor of science in nursing. The college operates five sites—in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta (on the campus of Southern Polytechnic State University), Dallas, and Douglasville. The college’s flagship programs—nursing and dental hygiene—are highly competitive, accepting just one out of four qualified applicants. Military Advanced Education named GHC as a top military-friendly institution because of its scheduling and course flexibility, low tuition and fees, varied financial aid packages, and strong support for veterans.
