Carol Thompson

The High’s Fred and Rita Richman Curator of African Art proved her mettle with Radcliffe Bailey’s “Memory as Medicine”; she labored for three and a half years on the Atlanta artist’s retrospective, an investment that paid off with an acclaimed June to September 2011 run and features in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Visitors will see more of Thompson’s advocacy for this often-underheralded art genre in “Global Africa,” arriving at the High summer 2012.
