Catlanta
The twenty-three-year-old street artist behind Catlanta prefers to remain anonymous, which only adds to his scavenger hunt–as–art intrigue. When the Georgia State studio art grad sends out clues for his next “kitten drop” via Flickr, Twitter, or Facebook, fans must embark immediately to stand a chance of grabbing one of the much-coveted wooden or magnetized Catlantas. It may seem a little silly to U-turn into Little Five Points or bike to downtown Decatur for a simply sketched (yet precious) cat, but its spontaneous and adventurous nature adds welcome spice to the local art scene.
