Bhojanic Buckhead
After many construction and permitting delays, Decatur’s beloved progressive Indian restaurant finally launched its second location in spring 2013 in Buckhead’s Shops Around Lenox, near Lululemon Athletica. A blond wood bar, butcher-block tables, and a floor painted with delicate white stencils greet those wishing to escape the dull mall atmosphere. (A small patio semi-enclosed with wooden slats helps keep the vibe insulated.) The menu, nearly identical to the one at the original Bhojanic near Emory, includes small plates of familiar dishes like samosas, pakoras, and aloo tikki (potato patties topped with chickpea curry and chutneys), and breads such as a fenugreek whole-wheat paratha served with fried egg, raita, and a brilliant mango chutney. Stop by for live jazz on Thursday evenings.
