Honey Pig

Here, pork belly rather than beef and domed grills (dolpans) rather than embers redefine the notion of Korean barbecue. With its modern decor and breezy service, this outpost of a small California chain is perfect for a fun date. Main courses come with free snacks (radish slices marinated with wasabi, kimchi soup), condiments, and lettuce and rice wrappers. The waiters do most of the cooking, including a final course of sizzling rice and bits and morsels left on the grill. There are plenty of beef and seafood options, but the pig (especially the “baby pig”) trumps all.
