Kung Fu Tea
This outpost of a growing New York–based chain looks like a cross between a slick coffee shop and (with planters of wheatgrass displayed on its counter) one of the many juice bars sprouting up across Atlanta. But the specialty is bubble tea loaded with tender-chewy tapioca pearls. The menu spells out some serious options for customization: You can choose from among black, green, or oolong teas; name the percentage of sweetness, including no sugar; and specify just how much ice you’d like in your glass. Icy slushies blended with mango or pineapple will especially appeal as the weather warms. Note that Kung Fu Tea is for liquid refreshment only: The place doesn’t serve one morsel of food.
