Dr. James Courtney French is a board-certified otolaryngologist with more than 13 years of experience specializing in minimally invasive sinus surgery. Dr. French completed his surgical training at Loma Linda University in California. Throughout his years in practice, Dr. French has taken a special interest in minimally invasive treatment of sinus disease to minimize recovery and downtime for those suffering with these problems. Because of his extensive background, he was recruited to serve as an advanced trainer for endoscopic balloon sinuplasty—a technique to improve sinus drainage and breathing. As a leader in his field, Dr. French has taught physicians from across the country how to perform these minimally invasive techniques. Furthermore, as an award-winning surgeon, Dr. French has helped patients suffering from allergy disease, snoring, and sleep apnea with multiple treatments to improve the airways in the nose and throat. These techniques can provide relief to patients suffering from sleep apnea and snoring with an alternative to CPAP. Dr. French feels honored to be recognized as one of the best otolaryngologists in his field for the second year in a row by Atlanta magazine.
Dr. French founded Southern ENT Specialists to fulfill his passion of combining the most advanced care in medicine blended with Southern hospitality. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere of his practice has helped him attract other providers who share the common goal of providing the best in patient care and a warm, welcoming environment. He carefully selected his team for their combination of expertise, experience, skill, and compassion. Dr. French says he feels fortunate to work with the best medical staff in the city.
