Dr. Roger Frankel is pleased to have been selected as an Atlanta magazine Top Doctor every year since 2011. He is a board-certified neurosurgeon who is passionate in tailoring his spine surgery plan for each individual. He has extensive experience in surgeries for disc replacement, disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal fractures, and spinal tumors. He has established a multidisciplinary spinal tumor clinic to allow cancer patients to have one-stop access to complete treatment support, including neurosurgery and oncology sub- specialties. His primary goal is for patients to get back to superb quality of life with as minimal an intervention as possible.
Dr. Frankel completed his medical degree at NYU School of Medicine and neurosurgical training at Emory. He has served in many leadership positions including president of the Georgia Neurosurgical Society and chairman of neuroscience at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. He currently is president and co-managing partner of Atlanta Brain and Spine Care and medical director of neurosurgery at the Shepherd Center.
Dr. Frankel, his wife, and three daughters enjoy cooking, travel, and exploring culinary experiences around Atlanta and beyond.
